In general, a community refers to a group of people. When groups of people interact wit each other and with a common website, they form online communities. Websites that enable these communities are an important part of the imminent Information Economy.

I did this presentation at Sandcamp 09. It is a very basic tutorial of how to use drupal, right out of the box to create a very simple informational website backed by a Drupal's Content Management System.

Killer User Profiles

I did a presentation on how to create killer user profiles at Sandcamp 09. I talked about how to use several modules together and integrate them all with a custom template for the user profile. I also talked about how important Views are, and how a simple snippet of code to embed a view can put lists of your information on your profile page.

Drupal Camp San Diego Ideas

At last weeks Drupal San Diego meetup we talked about the idea for San Diego to have its very own Drupal Camp...How Exciting!!! Here are some of the things we talked about

  • Achieve is talking with some people at UCSD to try to get some classrooms. This should be a good venue for our first camp.
  • We are debating Friday-Saturday vs Saturday-Sunday.
